CO₂ laser marking machines utilise a mixture of carbon dioxide, nitrogen and helium as the gain medium. The laser beam operates at a wavelength of 10.6 micrometres, situated in the far-infrared spectrum. Lasers at this wavelength are efficiently absorbed by organic materials such as wood, leather, paper, acrylic, textiles and rubber. Unlike fibre lasers, which are optimised for metals, CO₂ lasers excel at processing non-metallic materials.

Basic Specifications

The EYHT series operates at a wavelength of 10.6 micrometres. Marking speeds can reach up to 7,000 millimetres per second. The marking area ranges from 110 × 110 millimetres to 300 × 300 millimetres, depending on the model. Cooling is either air-cooled or water-cooled, depending on the power rating. The laser tube has a service life of 20,000 to 30,000 hours.

• Weekly maintenance. Wipe the protective window with a microfibre cloth and isopropyl alcohol. Check the CO₂ laser tube for any signs of damage. Clean the workbench surface.
• Monthly maintenance. Check all lenses for dust or damage. Check that the cooling fan is rotating normally. For water-cooled models, check the water level.
• Safety instructions. Always wear laser safety goggles suitable for a 10.6-micrometre wavelength. Never operate the machine with the safety cover open. Do not place reflective materials in the path of the laser beam. Keep a fire extinguisher nearby. Train all operators before first use.
